Located in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District, Fred’s Not Here is a convenient place to have dinner before an evening at the theatre.
. Our Famous Lobster & Crab Soup ($):
- I wish I’d taken a snapshot of this soup, but unfortunately, I didn’t even think of it at the time. From what I can recall, I enjoyed it. It came in a bowl with a light, flakey golden pastry top that added a hint of drama and “specialness”. I enjoyed breaking into the pastry top and eating it with the soup!
. Surf & Turf with Duck Fat Frites ($):
- I felt the plating of this steak and lobster left something to be desired. The taste was there, but the cut of the steak looked awkward and presentation DOES matter at times…The duck fat frites were quite enjoyable and nicely presented.
